During my time at the Victoria Youth Empowerment Society, I had the opportunity to be part of the Health and Safety Committee for the agency. I modeled many of my policies and procedures from what I learned through my experience. Careful thought was put into everything between baby proofing, fire extinguishers, smoke alarms/ carbon monoxide detectors, floor plans, flashlights and emergency preparedness kits. I was in Scouts when I was younger- I like to be prepared.
